My name is Jessica L. Koch and for the Internship program I chose to work for                          Hope Medical Supply Inc.

I have never worked at a DME company before so there were many things I got to experience and learn about. I was able to use many different skills gained form prior sociology classes to help aid in my learning experience. Research being the biggest skill needed I was able to obtain medical documentation for healthcare billing purposes; ensure medical documents met FDA requirements for prescriptions, joint commission requirements, and requirements promulgated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. I was also able to audit and review patient files to ensure that all files contained the necessary medical documentation.

This is not an easy intership however the learning experience is priceless. I highly recommend doing an internship at Hope Medical Supply.
