My name is Jeff Mazza. I have been interning with Lemonade Records since late August. Over that span of time, I have come to a better, fuller understanding of the professional world. I have been working first-hand with Shelley King to help with the promotion of her forthcoming album, and eagerly await getting a hand on a finished copy of our hard work. I have learned skills in communications through my work with contacting various people throughout the CD-making and promoting process, as well as how a small business is run. I have learned both the perks and the pitfalls of owning your own business, and I have come to better appreciate the tenacity required to make it on your own in a downturned economy. My major project is seeing the production of "Welcome Home" to its end, and then aiding in the sale and promotion of the product. We will be receiving the finished CDs on Thursday, October 15th, and I am very eager for that day to come!
With the help of Lemonade Records and its staff, I have been well-indoctrinated into the business world, and shown what it takes to survive and succeed. It would be trite to say that music is an important part of life, but it is true nonetheless. Without music I would not have this placement, and I likely would not have learned as much as I have--and will continue to! I owe a great debt of thanks to Shelley King and Perry Drake for their willingness to take me under their wing and help me get a jump-start in life.
