During the Fall 2009 semester I was given the opportunity to intern with the Dallas, Texas Rhythm Junkies. This non-profit organization
focuses on producing and recreating works of tap dance to help promote arts awareness in the community.

I was pleased to work directly with the business and co-creative director, and be able to see first hand the daily operations of a non-profit organization from an administrative point of view. I was also glad to be given the opportunity to organize the 2010 Everything On Tap fund-raising raffle. Everything on Tap is the only full-length tap concert in North Texas and the proceeds from the raffle go to a scholarship for a local dance student. Although I will not be the Rhythm Junkies intern for 2010 I do plan on volunteering to help the next intern complete this endeavor.

The work experience gained from this internship is valuable and will add a unique quality to my resume.
