Michael O'Neill, Sales Development Manager & MeHi! My name is Natalie Malina and for the IntershipProgram I chose to work at a company in San Antonio called Kinetic Concepts Inc. (KCI). Program I chose to work at a company in San Antonio called Kinetic Concepts Inc. (KCI).
Working at KCI
has been a tremendous learning experience for me. I have learned
medical terminology, insights on surgeries, and how KCI’s products are
applied to wound healing. I feel professionally and personally
challenged at KCI and am eager to take on any project that demonstrates
my strengths and needs for development. I am learning the roles and
responsibilities of every position here within the Sales Training
Department and understand the importance of communication and
dedication. I gained confidence, and sense of importance here,
knowing my first big assigned project was a success. I had the
opportunity to attend one of the new product launch meetings in Dallas,
Texas, which allowed me to see the company’s products, people, and its
unbelievable dedication to their patients and customers. I have
been privileged to be certified in Selling Integrity, one of the many
selling platforms used today in the business market. I have
discovered that in the medical sales market one should be versatile and
knowledgeable on the different types of physicians, their behavioral
styles, and of course their product needs.
The experience that I have gained here will help
prepare me for a career path in today’s market on Advance Medical
Devices. I am happy to say that upon completing my internship,
the prospect of finding a career at KCI becomes more hopeful every
day. I am so looking forward to my new future!
