My
name is Stephanie Groves and I am interning at The Austin Music Office
which is an organization at The Austin Convention and Visitors
Bureau. My job duties have consisted of assisting the Director of
Music Marketing and also in the production of the Austin Music Vol.9
compilation CD. I have edited panels for the mini booklet insert for
the CD, researched music, searched for local talent and
local venues. I also had the pleasure in helping out at various music
functions such as the Women in Music Professions (W.I.M.P.S) Luncheons
that networks women in the professional music industry and also for the
HAAM
fundraiser (Health Alliance for Austin Musicians). I will also be
helping out at FUN FUN FUN Fest in the V.I.P media area. This
internship has given
me opportunities to explore my options in the music industry and I know
it will give me the tools and experience I need to move forward and
give me a better chance at doing something that I love. For more
