I am currently an Intern at Competitive Consulting, which is a privately owned marketing firm in Austin, Texas.  I am working in the Human Resources division of the company which is responsible for the daily office functions of the company as well as recruiting and filling positions within the company.  Competitive Consulting was opened in September of 2005 and has expanded to include offices in Hartford, Connecticut; Chicago, Illinois; and Portland, Oregon.  Competitive Consulting plans to expand into at least three new markets within the 2008 calendar year.  The clients that are currently represented by Competitive Consulting are AT&T, Quill/Staples, Goggle, and Ebay. While at Competitive Consulting my responsibilities have included preparing the daily office reports which include the daily recruiting report which communicates which of the stragtegies that are being implemented are successful and which need to be improved.  I am also in charge of preparing the daily office report that manages the accounts of the office.  As part of the Human Resources division, I have also been in charge of the recruiting of new candidates to work in the company.  This opportunity has given me the chance to understand the recruiting process and meet a lot of new people.
